Prayer card ~ art teacher ~ divine appointment.

Amazed at God's provision.

On Wednesday at our kids school, it just so happened that there was a substitute art teacher for my daughters art class.   And my daughter had taken one of our prayer cards into school for her teacher.  The substitute teacher picked it up and read it.  What jumped off the page to her was that we were needing someone to rent our house for the year we are gone.  It just so happened that she has missionary friends that will be coming home for a year.

While I was home baking a treat for my husbands birthday, I had no idea how God was moving in Art class. But soon the phone rang and although I didn't know who the person was on the caller ID, I answered anyway.

When she started telling me how she came across our letter and about having a family looking to rent a house in the area, let me just tell you that I got goosebumps all over and was choking back the tears.  You see all along I was praying for someone to live in our house and in my mind the perfect option would be a missionary family that can just move into our furnished house.  I am blown away by God, serving Him is so rewarding.

So we exchanged emails with the missionary family.  And waited for God to work out the details, knowing that IF the answer was "no" then he had an even better "yes."

After emailing back and forth with the missionary family and answering some questions, this is what she wrote back.

We would be delighted with the opportunity to rent your home next year.  Interestingly, the price you named is EXACTLY the same as our organization's standard housing allowance.  Isn't He amazing?  Here I was combing Craigslist for MONTHS with little success, and was getting a little concerned when I sensed the Lord telling me to rest in His guidance.  I don't rest very well ;)  All along, OF COURSE,  He was working out everything for His children.

God is so amazing, His timing is perfect, and He takes care of His children.
