My first trip to market and I am in Love . The smells and sounds took me back to Pennsylvania to Green Dragon Farmers Market .However there was much more colorful fruit and many things that we had never seen before and still dont know what they are . We had a list of things to get to stock our house for a while . We were able to find almost everything on our list and most things are reasonably priced .
We walked approx. 30 minutes to get to the market , got all our goods , then paid a taxi 1300 Colones($2.60 American) to bring us back home . It was a great family outing and we look forward to many more in our time here
Wow! I don't think we'll be finding papayas like that around here this year, hahaha! Those pancake-like treats in the first picture - did you eat them plain or do they come with some sort of topping? Terrific post - we look forward to following along this year!
