2012

As we start a new year, I wonder what the year holds.

Pigeon park, downtown.

To make new years resolutions seems like a good idea for a minute but then I wonder if I would spend to much time focusing on what my goals should be and miss out on just living every day.

Kortnee packed a lunch for
my birthday.  I don't think I ever had a
picnic on my birthday.

Like being intentional about loving my family, about spending time with my Jesus daily, about being positive and encouraging, about being honest and about depending not on my own strength to get thru the day but on Him who calms the storm.

Largest ox cart.

I believe that goals are good and worthwhile.  Like Lauren having the goal to read thru the bible in 2012.  I am so proud of her and her leadership in influencing others to do the same.  A very good and worthwhile goal!

Lauren all dressed up for
the youth Christmas dinner.

For me in 2012,  I want to be open to what God wants to teach me about Him, about me and about how He loves me.  I want to take time to be still and know He is God.  And I want to be willing to be used for His glory.  And along the way, I believe he will help me learn this beautiful language called Spanish.

Christmas Eve 2011!

So as we prepare for school to start again we need to make a quick trip to Panama to renew our visas.  Please pray for safety and favor as we cross the border into Panama and then back into Costa Rica again.

Blessings to each of you in the new year!
