Life in CR in Jan.

We are in full swing of our second tri here at language school.  Today was the first test of the trimester and we will find out on Monday how we did.

The kids are also busy with tests, homework and after school activities.

This week we celebrated birthdays with some of our friends.  We also said good-bye to some friends which was not easy.   Teary good-byes touch the deep places of my heart and it makes me thankful that one day there will be no more good-byes for us and no more tears.

The weather is lovely.  After coming thru a few months of rain nearly every day, it really makes you appreciate the sun.  Daytime temps are about 75-80 and at night it drops down into the 60s.  When you live in a house without heat and tile floors, 60 is a tad cold chilly.

Our new favorite discovery is fried cheese.  It is really good with gallo pinto (rice and beans).  The kids call it squeeky cheese because...well because it squeeks when you bite it.  It hard to explain the texture but it is very yummy.

We are really blessed to have so many of you praying for us and supporting us anyway you can.  Until you have been away from family and friends you have no idea what a care package or card means to those who are far from family and friends.

Christmas in Jan. =)

In a couple weeks we enter the era of the teenage years. =)  Where the 13 years have gone, I don't know, but Lauren will soon be celebrating 13 years.

Have a great weekend!
