Food in Costa Rica

We are enjoying many new foods
 and some old favorites too.

Gallo Pinto with huevos and coffee for breakfast.

  2. YUMMO! we just had empanadas tonight for our supper. they were left over from a meal that Maura (my Guat friend) made. So do you use the plantain to make the outer crust? and what did you put inside it? or are the plantains inside? She used corn flour for the outside part and put seasoned shredded chicken inside it. soooo good! Oh and that salsa looks better than the mango salsa from Costco!

  4. This all looks so yummy that my belly is growling!:) Im curious to know how the kids do with these new foods. Are they good eaters by nature or how do you encourage them to try new things?
    Being that someday we'll be in very similar places, Im trying to get our girls to try new foods. Its not always easy but I want them to learn now. Know what I mean?
